Yesterday I started off the writing session with some funky basslines and drums, but quickly realized that wasn't the direction I wanted to go in for todays post. After some experimenting, I laid down a very rigid drum beat with some beeps and boops like you hear in the opening and I was off.
I pulled some inspiration from a few sources, namely the Magitek Research Facility from FFVI, the Undersea Palace from Chrono Trigger, and Fulgore's theme from Killer Instinct. I've done a couple of "Factory" tunes before but this one hits a little different. It's a slow burn before you get to the pay off. To my ears though, that pay off is oh so sweet!
