Tier Rewards Update
Added 2021-04-16 20:08:45 +0000 UTCHey Party Members, sorry for the double post today, but I just wanted to let you guys know I've been thinking about dropping the Patreon exclusive videos. It takes a lot of time to get 2 videos a week together and truth be told, the Patreon vids just aren't being watched.
To be clear, I'll still be releasing new songs for you guys on Tuesdays, but they just won't have a video to go with them. I suspect that by dropping the extra video, I may even have time to introduce a 3rd song into the mix each week. Essentially I could write one for Healer tier, one for Warriors, and one for Mages. That's what I'm thinking right now.
Let me know how you feel about this. If you signed up specifically for the extra videos and feel I am making a huge mistake, please let me know. My main goal is to make sure I am providing as much value to you guys as I can, whether that means keeping the video or writing more music.
Oh! I almost forgot to mention. For all my Mages, I've added some extra music into the Song Pack archive. They aren't exactly the same style as the tunes I normally release on here, but I wasn't really doing anything with them and I thought "Why not let my Patrons have them?" Just a fun little bonus for you guys. :D
Anyway I'm going to cut myself off before I start rambling. Send me a message, leave a comment, or message me in Discord to let me know what you think of these changes.
Have a great weekend!
-Bert

Thanks Celes! I figured that was the case, most people not having the time to watch all the vids, that is. The videos are entertaining for me as well, but doing 2 a week was getting tough to keep up with. I always appreciate the feedback. :)

2021-04-17 17:51:03 +0000 UTCI like the videos, but I agree with Chris. The music is most important. I think you should definitely keep the one video because I feel they are entertaining and part of your signature, but don't overdo things and get burned out. I watch the videos typically when I have time.

2021-04-17 17:39:40 +0000 UTCSpeaking to my own experience as a Patreon user, if I'm supporting someone it tends to be more about the core content they create. I'm supporting you because I like your music and want to be able to use it, especially if ever have the chance to get back into making more classic 2D RPG content. The videos you do are fun, but I don't think they're a necessary perk, especially if you think they're distracting from your music! That said, the videos you post on youtube are definitely entertaining, and I think they serve a better marketing purpose. They show total outsiders how your music can be used, and what kind of creator you are. Probably safe to assume that your patrons already know how you compose, otherwise we wouldn't be here. ;)
