Yesterday's writing session was a blessing, because I was able to easily get into the flow of things. Some of you may have heard me say something along the lines of "the song just pops out basically done." Well this is another example of that.
I started off with the piano riff, and the delay that I slapped on immediately gave it a cool vibe. Then adding the slow drum sounds basically set the tone for the whole track. Simple yet effective. Then I just had to come up with some variations for the B section, a few melody lines, a couple of passes of polish and boom! We got ourselves a song.
I don't say this stuff to be like "Oh this is so easy for me, I'm soooo good!" Nah, if you've been around here long enough you know that there are plenty of times when I struggle to produce something, or in the eleventh hour I'll scrap ideas and start fresh. So when I DO have days like yesterday, I'm just thankful for them and want to share my joy I guess haha. Idk, I never know what to say in these things, and I have no idea how many of you actually read these sooo this is all just train of thought now. Man this coffee is good...
