Vows - Epilogue

The epilogue for the Vows video... I mean, that's what it is, not much more to say... ;)

Oh, I'm in my storage room because it's quiet and the neighbors are doing some construction... all day, every day... all the time.

And before anyone asks, yes I'm fine, the lighting in there makes me look like a zombie!

yeah..You shall mean you WILL and you should gives you the option of doing or not doing. Depending on the context shall maybe perfectly correct, but using it in talking about a certain procedure would be stupid since that procedure may change or improve over time.

Interestingly, the American Institute for Conservation's page devoted to the code of ethics as well as the guidelines for practice ( https://www.culturalheritage.org/about-conservation/code-of-ethics ) actually don't use "shall" very often. Most of the guidelines use "should". "Shall" is used in legal references (the conservator shall not do anything illegal, say, or allegations of misconduct shall be kept in strict confidence) or in respecting others (when sharing conservation knowledge and techniques, the involved conservators shall both agree on what's being shared). I'm not a conservator or anything even approaching one, but I found the idea of using "shall" too often to be intriguing, so I looked it up. Again, not a conservator, so as a layperson, it seems to me that "shall" is used where it should be. I wouldn't want conservators--or anyone else--being told that they only "should" respect each other, the art, and the law.
