Preview: The 200 Best Video Games of All Time

Hey everyone! Hope all of you guys in the US are enjoying the holiday weekend! Outside of the usual food gorging/family stuff, I've been putting the final touches on the 200 Best Video Games of All Time. It's ALMOST ready, I'm just doing some final tweaks to the digital version. The dimensions of a typical tablet are a bit different than the 7x10 size of the paperback, so I usually create a separate edition for digital distribution that re-centers the design so it looks a little better. This is also a really tedious process so it takes a bit of time!

I'm attaching a preview copy of the almost-almost-almost final edition of the book, all 216 pages of it. A few things need to be addressed, like last glances for any typos, formatting issues, or making sure the index actually points to the correct pages. Plus, this is the design for the paperback - once the digital version is completed, I'll be deleting this copy off Dropbox and replacing it with the finalized one. I hope you enjoy it, and please look forward to the final publication in about a week or so!

Thanks! I've verified that you are correct and I've made the updates to the file. The most recent version SHOULD be uploaded to the Dropbox, which contains myriads of tweaks and fixes since I put it a few days ago. Still needs one or two minor tweaks and it should be ready to publish!

Hardcore Gaming 101

Looking at the Lionheart article on the site, I think maybe the book article just has a typo and should say "Lionheart requires the more powerful Amiga 1200" instead of "Amiga 1000".

Hey, great work, I want it for christmas :). Looking at the Turrican II page, there is something that strikes me as incorrect: "Lionheart requires the more powerful Amiga 1000...". The Amiga 1000 was the first Amiga, a predecessor of the Amiga 500, and not any more powerful - indeed, the early Amiga 1000s had half the memory of a standard Amiga 500. According to http://hol.abime.net/894, Lionheart does run on the standard Amiga 500 ('OCS'), but 'ECS' is listed under 'Hardware' which could indicate that it could be a bit enhanced on the slightly more powerful Amiga 600 and Amiga 500+ models. However, the difference between OCS and ECS are so minor that I wouldn't even mention it in the book.
