Hope you've had a great week. I've been a bit scattered, life has been pretty hectic, but I think that played into today's song a bit.
If you've been around here for a while you probably remember me talking about the sound of the late 90s. DnB/Electronic music absolutely dominated the gaming scene. And a game genre that still reigned supreme was the fighting game.
Today's song is meant to be an homage to both of those genres. Heavily layered drums, sweeping synth pads, weird electronic boops...the works.
I know fighting games aren't as common in the indie game scene these days, but this song could still be used as a boss fight tune in an RPG or an action sequence in an action/stealth game probably.
