Preview: HG101 Presents: The Top 200 Video Games of All Time
Added 2015-06-14 17:06:33 +0000 UTCAs previously announced a few weeks ago, we've been working on a "Best Video Games of All Time" book. I've finally settled on the final number of selections as 200, which is a little large, but allows for a wide variety of games to be covered.
The major difference between this and previous books is that most of the pieces are newly written for this book. (There are a small handful that have been sourced for the site or other works of ours.) Still, we started in January and we've been making good progress through the beginning of the year. I hope to have it finished and published by October.
I've attached to this post a 24 page preview of our work in progress. Our goal was to highlight a number of titles in a wide variety of genres, across Japanese console games and Western computer games. Right now the order is completely arbitrary, but in the final product, the RPGs will be next to other RPGs, the RTSs next to other RTSs, and so forth.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this, and will look forward to the final product!
