In the process of migrating the old site to the new one, there were certain articles I wanted to hold off on until I got a chance to rewrite them. The Athena article was one of them - the old ones were just way too short. Though this was done independently of the SNK 40th Annivesary Collection released last month, I figured today would be a good day to start posting them, since the DLC with all of the added games just popped up. Anyway, this game is pretty ambitious but I still think the arcade version is a minor wreck, even though the NES version is much worse.
