HG101 Digest Vol. 4 Preview PDF
Added 2019-01-14 15:59:00 +0000 UTCHere's the preview for the upcoming HG101 Digest Vol. 4, featuring Star Fox and F-Zero, but also a bunch of related topics. Star Fox is pretty well known about rail shooter fans, but there are a handful of other lesser known, similar titles, so this was a good place to highlight some of these. Additionally, I wanted to cover some other titles from Argonaut, both the titles that led up to Star Fox (Starglider, X) and the other SNES era titles (Vortex, Stunt Race FX, and FX Fighter). That last one ended up on PCs but it was originally intended to be an SNES game. Along with this are some supplementary material for some of our previous published books, including a look at some Castlevania fan games and the recent Netflix anime, updates on the Wonder Boy/Monster World revival of the last few years, and 11 more games added to our best games of all time canon.
As usual, this is a pre-copy edited version, so we'll be fixing any typos or design errors we find, plus the Patreon list at the end needs to be updated (it's using the donor list from the Retro Horror digest). The final version will be released next month!
