About two years ago, I took up publishing duties of the Wrestling with Pixels book that was Kickstarted back in 2013. By "publishing", I mean designing the book and editing the text, since I actually have next-to-no knowledge about wrestling and know even less about wrestling games, so I am woefully unqualified to actually write much of anything myself. It's been a troubled project, to put it lightly, and I've been doing my best to try to help get it to completion. The reason it's taking so long is, flatly, because the author is extremely slow in delivering the text.
Anyway, that's just an introduction to this project. The good news is that since you all are HG101 Patreon donors, you'll get a digital copies of book when it does actually get released (2018 is looking more and more unlikely) as well as paperbacks for those that donated at that level. Plus, here's a preview of the work we've done so far. It's 68 pages and covers basically every wrestling games from the beginning of video games, up until the end of 1993.
The main reason I'm happy to work on this project, in spite of its hurdles, is that it's actually a pretty cool read. Again, I'm absolutely not a wrestling fan but there's still plenty of history involved (including Human and its ties with the Fire Pro Wrestling series), and it's always neat to see how a whole genre evolved over the course of the decades.

In the coming weeks, we'll also be publicly revealing our next book, HG101 Digest Vol. 3, Retro Horror Games, which is almost completed, as it's currently being copy-edited and the cover is being worked on (by our regular artist Rusty Shackles). You guys will probably get a sample of that pretty soon, too.
