[Fic Intro] Summer Nights

Today you'll see the first chapter of another fic I've had planned out for a long time, but only written a a little bit of. So far I'm only posting one chapter of this one, I think in total it'll end up around ten!

The title is also subject to change because I'm not 100% sold on it, so I'll just retcon all these posts if I find one I like better lol. It's another one I started back in 2018 initially, which I only know because a close friend at the time drew the OC in it for me for my birthday that year. We're no longer friends so it's a little bittersweet to finally start talking about this fic and know that art will probably never see daylight.

My biggest struggle with getting this one out there has been the POV element - most of me wants to continue it from Kacchan's POV (as the first chapter you'll see soon is) but there are a lot of elements I don't think will translate well, which I think would read better from the OC's POV. I also have a certain time period it will focus on (the first chapter is kind of a prologue) but there are some certain scenes I want to do in other eras, so I have to either timeskip, flashback, or a mix of both to really make it work (chronological would be boring for this plot) which I'm not the biggest fan of writing.

All this is probably sounding off-putting, so I apologise for that haha. On some brighter notes, I'm still in love with this idea even 5 years later, and I'm sure there are similar things out there, but I haven't personally come across any that are particularly close to the same story, so it feels more original than some of my other works! The character in this is one of my favourite fandom-OCs I've ever worked with (those who have read the ongoing MFS probably know who wins the top title) and I anticipate having a ton of fun with this story when I figure out more of how I want to apporoach it and manage to get back into it!

Summer Nights focuses on Katsuki, now graduated, and his relationship with his much-younger sister. Despite not being a fan of kids, Katsuki falls in love with his sister from the first moment he holds her, and she's pretty much the only reason he continues to visit his parents as often as he does.

This is gonna be a ridiculously fluffy story that focuses more on their relationship than on his one with Deku, though Deku will still feature very heavily in the story!
