Do you like sandbox or more story-focused VNs?
Added 2022-08-27 04:33:19 +0000 UTCI've been wondering if people here are more interested in sandbox games or story focused visual novels. I've been trying to really try to include some element of sandbox in my future game, but I do want to tell a story in the end.
Sandbox : VNs with emphasis on free-roaming and unlocking different girl's paths. Mythic Manor, Harem Hotel, etc.
Story-Based : VNs with a story to tell and usually incorporate differing paths with choices. Once in a Lifetime, Waifu Academy, etc.
Hybrid : These are usually a mix of both, they do have story but sprinkled with moments of free roam, but it tends to be more like a Story-Based VN. An example would be something like Fresh Women (I know it's a DAZ game).
What do you guys think?

VN but maybe with a grind system so that they won't skip all the way through, but then again others will complain either way
2022-09-03 07:06:12 +0000 UTCI feel that summer time saga and harem hotel are the golden standard for sandbox games, there's so much to do that the grind isn't so bad but personally I'll lean towards vn.
