If not for the existence of Calamitous Bob, I would re-read Journey right now. I have read all the comments, checked the discord vip lounge, and didn't see a correct location to leave constructive feedback, so here it is. At the line "which is the moment I pick to throw my improvised cudgel at her nose. She does dodge at the last moment... To prevent a repeat, I charge and pick my cudgel from the ground." I would have thought the cudgel handle she was using would be somewhere on the other side of Syma out of reach. As for the people talking about courts, I felt the court of exiles was a given. In an analogue to bloodlines, courts seem to follow concepts, where narrow abstractions like secret infiltration and covert un-remarkability seem weaker than the broader and traditional consuming cold and bountiful playful summer. I would not be surprised if the court of freedom and BREAK THE CHAINS not only exists but is powerful. If this comes to pass, whether with Ariane becoming a branch or creating said court, I am interested in seeing if she is subject to any changes, as other courts appear to bring their members more in line with the spirit of their court(s?). With my tinfoil hat now on, I'll add that being a devourer and glutting herself fae blood could make Ariane more malleable as time passes. Thus far devoured power has been purely optional and therefore without downsides, but fae and dragon blood could be special.

Hmmmmm... here is a new thought that crossed my mind: Ariane just captured a huge new airship, which I assume she will repair and will now own. YYYAAARRRRR lol. But my thought is, that very ship is FILLED to the brim of the members of that Slavers consortium. So I wonder if she is going to have a moment of brilliance, and decide to bring them back to earth to replace what she stole. At least this time, the Likeaan slaves will be true A-holes whom deserve some karmic justice, and not just random ppl stolen from all over the sphere. That way the Accords will have the advantage, and if she is REALLY SMART, she would give a hefty amount back to ENERU to smooth over what she stole from them, giving them BOTH an advantage over MASK, annnnddd make things right w/ Torran! Because I'm pretty sure, she put him in a really shitty spot politically and emotionally. And in a very real way, THAT'S A BETRAYAL! On the same lvl of what Sinead did to her. She kept her secrets and only told Torran what he needed to know. Sinead did the same to her. Soooo, she is kiiiinnnnddddaaa sorta a backstabber too; and that needs to be rectified IMO. If she plans on keeping her REP as an HONEST Devourer that is! #JustThinkingAloud

The feeding are entirely subjective so it needs to be a meaningful hunt or service for her to get power and possibly a statue

Question: I saw a lot of 'sipping' in this chapter. So how much Blood does Ariane need to swallow before she gains a new statue of the person/creature in her garden? One drop? A sip? A gulp? Or Drain them dry? I've seen her only take a drop of Saveya's Blood to create a statue for her, but Sav's blood/essence is full of power. So I wonder if the person matters as well. Also, I wonder, since she has vampires like Nami, and Jimena, Sephare, Constantine, Ako, in her, I wonder can she make their statues use their Magna Arqa's as well? That would be Shocking af for them to see. The next battle they engage w/ Mask, Ariane could have each person supported by their own statue and fight side by side. LOL. That would instantly 'double' the fighting power of the Accords! Or they would crap their collective draws if they see that Fighting Ariane would mean fight 20+ Lords level vampires at once! HAHAHAAHAHAHHA Awesome Alucard Level MA.

I dont think that's quite right. If its 10,000 to 1 then 1 second on earth is equal to 10,000 fae seconds, 10,000 seconds is equal to 6.9 days (10,000 / {24*60}). As such - It should only be equal to 1 second .... (feel free to check my math here - I'm doing back of envelope) calcs

Okay... If Sinead is telling the truth and time is being altered, she has so far spent 6 or 7 days here. That means about 2.5 to 2.8 hours had passed on earth. Safe to say, whatever battle they were fighting is now over. Hope they don't think she 'Ran' from the battle. Hope Nami vouches for what happened. Also, I wonder if Sheridan is ever going to get a ship named after him? 🤔 ... Nope Naaaaaahhhhhh.... he hasn't earned it in my eye. Didn't quite 'vibe' w/ him as I did w/ Dalton. I think I actually vibed more w/ the loss of that female supplicant Ariane wasn't able to save that one time, more than I ever did w/ Sheridan. Can't wait to see all the iterations of Dalton ships. Basically, she has to get to the point where she stops trying to micromanage everything it does, and let her intuition take over. But that is only going to happen once she 'knows' exactly what she is capable of. She has to stop thinking about the steps, measuring them, seeing if the last step was perfect, calculating how to make the next one, and on and on... she need to forget the minutia of/in the details and just WALK! Looks like she should get a lot of practice here. Wonder if she will ever get to the point where she doesn't even have to say Magna Arqa. Or to the point were where her roots/tendrils and Rose drain so much essence from her opponents that she could use that essence to fuel her mages, make her roots/tendrils more stronger/unbreakable, and or give her the ability to keep her M-A running, till everyone else's runs out of juice! Amazing things are ahead I am SURE OF IT! Pat on the back for this chapter. Worth the wait. YAAAARRRRRR!!!!!

Again excellent chapter and after this my mind is already leaping ahead to Ariadne’s triumphant return after 5 years. A fine Boston evening, the sun has set when a monstrous portal forms of eldritch green fire and a truly titanic sky ship appears over Boston’s harbor. The hull jade black, bristling with several massive turrets that can aim above an below the horizon including a double barrel ventral turret. Soaring through the nights sky the island size warship turns south along the coast. It’s black hull unadorned except for a blood red sigil depicting eight fangs, and over the monstrously sized warship’s open helm flies a massive Skull and Cross bones…..
