I like this chapter. I feel it shows Salvos growth and development of her personality.

2021-08-17 07:57:40 +0000 UTCI don't think partial mortality works that way if I'm not wrong when she is in her human form she would be forced to go to sleep Depending on the skill level she can delay it by a few hours if it works how you suggest then every time she is in demon form for an extended amount of time then goes to human form she would be in a sleep coma for days, weeks, if not months at a time.

2021-08-16 23:36:43 +0000 UTCI kind of like this, in your previous books Salvos blasted through levels and accomplished everything seemingly quite easily. I think as long as you raise the tension in other ways like her being discovered to be a demon or introducing new rivals that this arc can be quite interesting. This arc offers a great deal of potential for character growth, and to connect to both new and old storylines. I'm excited and hopeful to see what happens here. Again though this will be a delicate balance and may push the authors writing ability. This chapter I thought was good, and i do hope to see where it goes from here.

2021-08-16 23:16:45 +0000 UTCBit of an odd storyline for this series. I'm interested in where it's leading. Accordingly, I'm glad she's starting to make progress. What I'm hoping to get out of this arc is for Salvos (and me) to learn cool or shocking facts about how things work, to connect dots that weren't connected previously that ties this in to existing or planned plotlines. On a totally separate nerdy study strategy note: should Salvos not grab the basic alchemy textbook too? Since she doesn't actually need to study anything for the advanced class (other than details of the regeneration potion) she has time to catch up on the basics; kind of true for all these classes really since she's literally studying night and day. Another strategy is for her to get a personal tutor somehow (maybe that young genius vampire), especially for the classes where the professor doesn't seem to care at all.
