The idea of combat for sport/entertainment is probably very unusual for Salvos, who was born into a world where nearly everyone she met tried to kill her.

2021-10-25 14:29:10 +0000 UTCThe Devil already did a pretty good job of that. Also, I imagine the Devil's POV would be horrendously spoilerish. He may play the fool, but there is a method to his madness. The Headmaster could be a fun POV, but people tend to screech like a howler monkey with its testicles in a wood chipper the moment an author switches to an alternate POV even if it's absolutely crucial to the plot.
