I also think that this is a power play for Alexander to grab more power by first using the summoning ritual to give himself free experience and to be able to rule over both the demons and the mortal realm. [Hero's] aren't immune to the weaknesses of being people. They can make mistakes, and they can suffer any weakness of the flesh. All they are is more powerful than the average person. Don't forget either that Belzu rebelled because he found out something about the demon king and had felt betrayed.

The Lich Zack mentioned that Alexander apparently removed memories of corruption from humanity. I think renaming an artifact should be easier.

So this theory, of Alexander getting his artifacts from Ragnorex is only possible if they where stolen before completion or if they were made by Ragnorex, for Alexander. That atleast is my interpretation.

I see this as a hint, that Ragnorex is Alexander, and that Ragnorex killing Alexander has a figuratively meaning, like Darth Vader killing Anakin.
