2021-12-28 05:57:22 +0000 UTCJust thought I'd say this as a counterpoint, everyone I know that has had COVID said it was like a bad cold, and this was before Delta. I say this, not to belittle the disease, but to shine enough light on it to keep it from being a bogeyman. Plus, stress kills more people than ignorance, so as long as you're doing everything you can to minimize your effect on its spread, it will in fact improve your chances to bury your head in the sand.

2021-12-28 00:30:40 +0000 UTCBest of luck with your test results. So long as you've been vaccinated it shouldn't be too bad. In my experience, the vaccines don't seem to prevent people from getting it, particularly the newer variants that are going around, but none of the vaccinated people I've seen catch it got dangerously ill. Even my sister recovered after about a week and she has a lot of serious chronic health issues similar to those suffered by my unvaccinated aunt who died from Covid around this time last year. Try not to worry about it too much. The only people I know who have died from it are those that were unvaccinated. Also, there are other bugs going around as well so it is quite possible its just something like a cold.
