I think this pace is okay, at least for non-combat pacing. Personally I would've been a bit bored if she started making small talk with her classmates, as they belong to (in my perception) another arc, the school life arc.

Salvos Volume 5 part 1 is coming out soon. Awesome. Audible is releasing Volume 3 tomorrow (read by the awesome Tess Irondale). I really love these Salvos books to the point where I reread them again and again, and I love being read to and Tess Irondale does an incredible job reading these books.

If Salvos can become a goddess at 150, and has a divine skill at 130, she'll probably get some interesting advice from a dragon [Dreaded Goblet: High Grade Equipment - Used in rituals to call upon the wisdom of the Old Gods.]

Agreed with before, the pacing of the wrap up chapters has been good. On the one hand, yesterday amd today could've been one big chap, but I think it was good to have the split, since it's a scene change. I'm really looking forward to seeing the class evolution, and it feels like we're nearing the end of the book/arc as well so I feel like those will be tied together. You've done a really good job of introducing the different players that will be in the next book too. And cantina is the cutest lol. We need cantina art!

Her Grand Skill is called Divine Essence of the Daeva Cambion so thats prob what headmaster’s referring to. It does bring to mind someone else comment from a previous chapter talking about how that grand skill could possibly be a passive one, which honestly i think is better than it being just an active skill with long duration

If you mean the pace of you releasing chapters, then I’m all for it! However, I assume you meant story pacing, which I think is also being handled well. Most of the information needed has already been established, so reiterating isn’t necessary; and to me this section almost feels like it’s own interlude-esque mini arc wrapping up the consequences of and reactions to the bloodied gulf arc, so I’m fine with the accelerated pace. I do greatly enjoy these sections, but I think I speak for us all in that we want to get salvos back with the homies. I am very interested in this divine essence stuff though. Seems like a good angle to take potential power scaling that isn’t tied to leveling directly, since trying to pack the sheer amount of mayhem necessary to reach Belzu’s level before she has to face him isn’t really feasible beyond going on an ancient sentinel murder spree. Which the reaction of the matriarch precludes. If that was intentional as a buffer to people bringing that up as a potential leveling opportunity left out then I applaud you. I’m probably just reading too much into things…

Oooh divine essence already? I wonder if it’s something from being around Sal too much or if it’s her own starting to form? We don’t really know a lot yet about how an individual becomes divine… a level thing? Some combination of experiences? Thanks for all the chapters!
