At the end of the day, all you need to level up is to kill things and not die. Becoming a high level adventurer and becoming one that's fit to be a leader are two very different skill sets. Heck sometimes all it takes is being lucky, like how Marwin happened to have Salvos nearby to save him from becoming demon chow. Probably not the first time someone saved his ass and probably not the first time he failed to thank them properly for it. But who knows.

2022-06-01 17:24:55 +0000 UTCAside from dumb luck he probably also used a ton of people to get where he is. Bossed them around into dangerous tasks and took the low risk levels for himself. Also like Viedu said above, he probably had superiors protecting him when he really needed it and giving him strict instructions that he would've begrudgingly listened to in situations that could've been dangerous.

As for it being impossible for him reaching his level with his character and intellect, I disagre. He was in Mori Gladiusses guild, and there are bound to be other powerful people, simply put, Marwin must be talented (but as already prooven rash and self important), and it would not be suprising if Mori and other high ranking members literally draged him to the top, by constantly saving his ass. Now he is left in charge and his faults show in full (with no one to clean up his messes).
