Not only does he know the difference between a wild demon and a "slave demon", but he said Salvos "rivalled" the Servant Sage of Secely. So the cyclopes had their own minor deity all along, and also know far more about the netherworld than any humans seem to... It honestly seems like the humans know the *least* about what's going on relative to all the other sapient races. A lot of trouble could probably have been saved if anybody bothered to talk to anybody else before this mess started.
