This is just the latest example though. The only responsibility she hasn't outright avoided is mentoring Noele, and even there, when was the last time she did anything related to that?

Because this chapter kinda shows that it's a knee-jerk reaction for her.

2023-10-26 22:19:35 +0000 UTCIt’s less that she wants to avoid all responsibilities but more that she doesn’t want to take on responsibilities that she didn’t chose. She is a hero who just wants to retire and live in peace without being the one who is always asked to fix some problem. She doesn’t want to set a precedent for helping with things unrelated to her. Selfish or not she is aware the consequences her actions could have on the global scale.
