2023-04-17 13:48:36 +0000 UTCEchoing the comments that Arthur being saved as an employee of Amelia's restaurant would be good, but it's the journey, not the destination; if Arthur realizes that his path to end suffering was increasing the suffering of the world, and that the better way to end suffering is to simply help those around you, encourage them to help others, and collaborate against all *systems* of oppression that reward the few vs the many (with the World System being the on-the-nose biggest example, but the general political and racially divided world being just as much of one) *then* Arthur's redemption arc would be worth it.

2023-04-17 13:13:56 +0000 UTCWell being put through the System Seal puts them both in immense pain so Lich King (Arthur) may actually have a chance now to send it back even if killing is low. Wonder if he will follow Amelia (new student?) and reexamine his goals of ending life=no suffering is the only way. Or maybe he will be a restaurant employee even if he isn’t like Noelle learning techniques.

Considering how difficult it was for him to fight back probably wouldn’t make it worse (both of them suffering and Lich king can take advantage). Guardian Angel Z is not fully appreciating how difficult it is to mentally defeat the Fal-Deus when possessing you. Amelia obviously cannot take the risk (low as it might be as her mind is tough, temptation to turn back time, lie or not, is an exploitable weakness that may make her hesitate) as her being it’s Avatar is game over. Perhaps there is a chance he can wound and scare it off even if the final blow wouldn’t happen for plot reasons. Angel Z remembering her passing comment of having kill Voidgod and not associating that name with Fal-Deus until now.
