[Salvos] 573. Trading (Removed for KU)

wait how is mythic worse than legendary?

McDerp420

Just take the deal Daniel. Salvos gonna make you a legendary grade sword next time you meet her. This Alex sword gonna look like garbage in comparison.

Kaleidoscope

Aside from the XP consideration, also note what happened when Salvos overused the Breastplate. Better to save the Sword for foes that it is needed to slay, which I doubt Daniel is too stubborn to use it against.

Nnelg

To be exact Salvos only theorized that having a superpowered artifact doing the majority of the work decreases XP gain. It tracks though if we’re under the reasonable assumption that having a mega-beatstick (whether artifact or skill) that’s out of your weight class doesn’t force you to push up against (and possibly beyond) your own personal limits as much; like the latest Hellabomination only giving 1 subspecies level to Salvos despite the 20 level difference between them because Salvos was dunking on it anyways. Conversely the Archarachne that had a similar level difference from Salvos forced her strain herself beyond what she’s normally capable of, resulting in her gaining three subspecies levels after killing it even factoring in the XP split. On the other hand though, even with a mythic item on hand you absolutely can rake in the levels as long you’re personally pushing yourself. The Ancient Centinel fight is proof enough.

Ihaxlikenoob

Having an overpowered artifact means one gets less XP for killing, and one gets reliant on it. None of which is good in long term. This is a good reason for Daniel not to use it, aside from it making him a big target for the Elves. Say, unlike with demon invasion he is not surrounded by Elites and travels solo aside from some diamond ranks. Elves could simply dispatch a few Elites to acquire the weapon if they knew he had it.

Alexey Gladkich

THIS. Everyone was like "Hey, why doesn't Salvos have the Sword anymore??? And she was like "gave it to a friend!" Then went to the Netherworld where she definitely could have used an overpowered artifact...but yeah, why not just have Danielle pawn it away so he can save a week on repair time

Notcreepycreeper

Salvos gonna come back and ask why he gave the Sword of Alexander away, that she got FOR HIM. The sword that already is designed to work extra well for a hero with upgraded abilities. If he reaaallly wanted an upgraded sword, maybe he should have asked her to make him one with all that real nice divinity she had. I totally expect to see Daniel accept next chapter, with some maybe some extra "plot" reasons for him to take a downgrade..

darkmuch

Please god no. Why is Daniel such a fucking sap. Like he’s from earth. I get he likes his security blanket sword, but c’mon, he’s not even level 150, he doesnt have the luxury of shit like this. Facts are, if he uses the Sword of Alexander, he could save a lot more lives. He cant give up a sword, safeguarded for a 1000 years, by people who were almost all killed by Belzu, just so a sword that will be repaired anyway gets repaired a little faster.

Notcreepycreeper

It is also possible that she is a demon, a changeling/ dopelganger like Salvos. She can change into the local populace and wouldnt have to fight anyone when traveling. Also i remember something about Nebular weapon creation skill being impossible/ very hard skill for humans to learn but it being an almost inborn ability for demons and spirits.

Kristaps Kramins

Oh man, now I want to see a "Divine Nebular Long-Sword" made just for him.

NothingToDo

It might be that the deal is more fair than it appears to be. Perhaps, she intends to fix it by bringing it to Salvos, which would require traversing Netherworld during the Revelation. If Daniel joins her on it, that would be quite the quest for them.

Alexey Gladkich

Daniel needs to counter the deal. By an equally unfair one, three coppers and a broken elven arrow instead of the Alexander's Sword - to fix the blade.

Alexey Gladkich

Ivonne Vigil could be Yves Vergil (The Watcher), which is the theory I subscribe to. Both of them are highly suspect.

Ihaxlikenoob

I kinda miss salvos now.

Brian Hopson

There is definately more to Ivonne, I get the feeling she is related to Melissa or is Melissa, that or she has a powerfull backer we have not meet yet. I don't think it would be the watcher since he more actively tried to protect so selling all those items for a lot of money does not seem right if she was related to him.

Captdeth

If Daniel accepts this deal, he will lose his trader class 🤣🤣

Gonvas

She'd have to enchant it. And her enchantment skills are quite far from a lvl150+ enchanter.

Alexey Gladkich

Nice chapter. I wonder if Ivonne just wants to level up or has ulterior motives. Also Daniel is such a W.

Azrie

>Daniel after trading the Sword of Alexander >"This has been the worst trade deal in the history of trade deals, maybe ever." In other words, don't take anything from the sussy-baka merchant Daniel! Thinking on this further maybe she also plans to trade the sword back to Daniel for a pittance so they can both get a ton of Trader xp? Sounds exploit-tier gamey though. Also man, Daniel's reasoning for keeping Salvos' sword got me in the feels...

Ihaxlikenoob

Salvos made that sword when she was level 100, merely an arch demon. Would a sword made by her now be a mythic grade weapon in its own right now?

Tyler Machado

That seems like a very bad deal. Ivonne does not really seem as a trustworthy individual!

LapisLazuli

YOU BETTER NOT ACCEPT IT DANIEL

Thasquilggly

Thanks
