We started a new series!!!

So recently we had the idea: what if we accepted submissions from patrons (you, potentially) about guitar, music composition, theory, whatever you want, and I personally reviewed and made a video reply? We thought that'd be super fun, so that's exactly what we started doing, and our first spotlight is Mark!

Mark had some questions about cleaning up his sweep picking, and hopefully he got a few pointers from my response. If YOU also are working through something with music, please send us an email with a video to SUBMISSION@DEANLAMB.COM and we might just review it and make a video reply!

Kickstarter Success!

Just over a week ago, we ended our Kickstarter campaign to support Archspire going fully independent with a staggering $396,326 CAD ($25 USD.)

Seriously, this amount is going to go a long way to support us being essentially on our own, releasing a brand new album without a label for the first time since 2011. Things have changed since then, and we have a lot of work ahead of us. But now we are in a spot to make something we truly own, and it's all thanks to the incredible fanbase we have been lucky enough to cultivate over 16+ years. Thank you for supporting!

My Lesson with Adam De Micco

Recently I had a little sit down with a good buddy, Adam De Micco who plays guitar in Lorna Shore right before he left for their European summer festival run! We had a ton of fun, talked a lot about the specifics of being in a touring band, talked about his right hand, riffs, in-ear monitors, and a ton of other super specific nerdy topics.

UNFORTUNATELY, I had bozo'd something with the audio recording, so his guitar sounds a bit muffled. That's why you're getting the full extended cut here, and it might not even see the light of day on YouTube. Hope you enjoy!

Anywho, July is a crazy busy month for me. I'm leaving TODAY to help my wife Claire on tour with her band Misyrion, so I'll be gone until Saturday, then later this month I'll be flying to Montreal to build a guitar with my Ethos Guitars business partner Greg! Once I'm back home, we're going to be focusing on the "30 Days of Hybrid Picking" package, so keep your eggs peeled for that!
