Marx was not a "statist"

New video! The title is a bit clickbait-y, I don't find "statist" to be a very useful term so I don't use it in the video, but it gives people an idea of what the video will be about.

A lot of people will disagree with this one, but I hope you enjoy either way. I spent the entirety of yesterday editing it without any breaks, so I hope it pays off. Thanks!

Every Frame a Painting is just so good.

Love the video, but as usual, my major complaint is delivery. Your videos are basic recorded essays or lectures. And that's fine, I suppose. But it doesn't play to the strengths of the medium. Above all, the medium is the message, different mediums have different strengths and weaknesses. A public spoken lecture might have questions and interactivity with the audience, but it can't have footnotes or stylistic spellings like Being vs being. A recorded lecture can only have interactivity afterwards in the comment sections. So it's even more limited than a live lecture. The benefit of a lecture, even a recorded one however, is that it takes less energy to consume than writing. A video essay also has the added bonus of visuals. Those visuals shouldn't be random, but add meaning to the argument. That's why you used pics of Marx, Lenin and Bakunin when you spoke about them. But there's still a ransom element to your use—the pics don't contribute to your argument. They should. Again, the medium is the message, video essays are not essays, they're films. They should be structured like films and use the grammar of films. I think your work could be a lot more popular than it currently is if you begin thinking as a filmmaker and less as an essayist or lecturer. Every Frame's a Painting has an excellent video essay on this subject using Orson Welles' F For Fake as an example https://youtu.be/1GXv2C7vwX0 I also highly recommend Orson Welles' film essay F For Fake (1973). It's amazing. And it's on YouTube for free! Echoes from Elsewhere

I'm pretty sure the context of that section of the video explains why a frame of Ben is there: "Socialism is stateless. We can derive this with a bit of SYLLOGISTIC reasoning for those of you who are into logic [flash of Ben Shapiro's face]." The joke here is that Ben loves talking about the importance of reason and how rational he and his allies are, therefore, they should love this next bit and be totality convinced by Cuck's amazing use of a syllogism.

Echoes from Elsewhere

Just one question . How did Ben Shapiro get in this video ? I don't know what this type of montage error is called in English but I can describe . When making a sloppy cut in film montage one can get a few unwanted frames in a film. When these frames are far less then 24 ( film is 24fps and video is 30fps) the viewer will see a flash without being able to see what the frame is. The makers of the BBC comedy series 'The young ones' did this on purpose an so added jokes that viewers could only see if they recorded the shows and played these flashes in slow motion. So, why is Ben Shapiro in this video at 23:51 ?
