Patch 0.4 Update!

Hello Sinners, today is another update - we're adding some more scenes that aren't related to combat, and don't level drain - specifically we're introducing Noxs sister, and adding some more lore to Modei and Mara.

The game may still be a bit buggy, but for the sake of transparency, I'll say this - learning Godot has not been easy for me. I spent a good amount of time watching videos and experimenting, but came to the conclusion that although a port to the game engine would be optimal for setting up a more engaging combat loop, my current skills as a programmer are.. still in need of sharpening.

I'm learning how it works, and have made progress, but it will likely be a few more patches until I'm able to transition the entirety of what we have into Godot. As such, I spent some time experimenting with Renpy, and I'm going to have a new version of the current system by 0.45 that will be less buggy and have a better UI/combat loop until I can fully flesh out the Godot systems. I estimate this will be by patch 0.7, but that fully depends on how much I can learn about Godot.

I am new to development, so thank you for your patience, and I will be hard at work reading documentation and playing around in the sandboxes to make this game better. I also spent more time than I should have writing the lore of this universe, and although I'd like to re-write everything now - I think it's better saved for when I've re-worked the game into Godot. We've thought a lot about how we can enrich the lore of the game, as we want the story to be meaningful. There is much progress to be made, but there is the start of a well-crafted Godot game blueprinted, and soon enough we will have a build that's playable.

Finally, I'd like to touch on how the game will be presented going forward. The idea for this game is to have branching paths, to align yourself with key players of the story, and make choices that ultimately guide you towards some various endings. As such, in this upcoming re-work, encounters will cease to be random - and there will more diverse encounters with the various characters of the game. We intend on expanding on what is currently here before adding more areas, and giving existing characters more scenes to develop the lore.

I will try to update more often, and we intend on running some polls soon, so stay tuned. Thank you for supporting me, I may struggle, but I will always overcome.

The dungeon is not currently in the game, but will likely see partial implementation in patch 0.5 after I've finished my rework of the current systems.
