Well...
Yeah.
There was a long, super wordy post here. With lots of oversharing of my personal struggles and all that. Not anymore!
Basically, guys. I'm done for now.
There was a period of time when I dreamt about starting to learn Blender or even Unreal for the next game. There was a period of time when I dreamt about quitting forever as soon as I was done with the game. There were days when I loved making the game, and memes, and stuff. And there were days when I woke up and hated that I had to get into the "p*rn mood" yet again.
The usual ( ´͈ ◡ `͈ )
But two things kept me going: my hatred for unfinished projects, and my love for money (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
Well, anyway.
With the game now being complete, I have no more obligations to myself.
And thanks to your continuous support, I'm no longer starving. At least not now and not in the foreseeable future.
I was living paycheck to paycheck for years, and it feels good to finally be able to just chill for a couple of months, maybe even a year or more.
Now. About my toxic "relationships with p*rn", I'll be honest with you: if I ever find a way to earn the same amount doing something else, you won't see me again.
But back to reality - this game had the best effort-to-$ ratio I've ever had, and it probably won't happen anywhere else anytime soon. Not unless I stop being a lazy bastard and learn some real profession. Which, you know... Probably not gonna happen (*≧▽≦)
So, realistically speaking, I'm gonna be back at it sooner or later.
Just not right now (；☉_☉)
I've redacted all my Patreon tiers, and a couple of descriptions here and there.
I'm not working on anything big right now. There are no concrete plans for the future either.
I might pop up here, on Twitter, or most likely at F95 forum from time to time with a picture or two, probably something meme-like with Esther. I kinda like her character a lot 💖
Other than that - that's it for now. Thank you again for supporting this project. You made my life easier and by a lot! Hope I provided some decent entertainment for a while...

I started with this guy's videos back in 2020, that's about Honey Select: https://www.youtube.com/@lavalamp2260/videos And then of course lots of experiments within the Studio itself. Renpy was the same: I watched like 3 videos about how to do the basic stuff, and then started repeating. After the first release when I was familiar with the simplest stuff, I started looking into other people's games to see how some functionality looks like in their code. That didn't work well :D

It'd be a real treat if you could post a couple of tutorial posts or a collection of things you've learned that you might pass on to any fellow game devs. The industry could genuinely learn a lot from your experiences and approach H-Game Development.
