August 2020 Wrap-Up
Added 2020-08-31 08:57:08 +0000 UTCI started a poll a few days ago and it created quite a bit of discussion. I received several private messages and phone calls from you guys as well as a few comments under the poll itself. Thanks for all your valuable input on that topic. In case you haven't voted yet, please go ahead and let me know what you think about that topic.
In general, it is pretty clear that this will be a tricky undertaking to realize under current circumstances in a way that everybody feels treated fairly and equally. An ideal scenario for this would of course be if that page generated enough money (let's say about $2500/month) that I could simply fund a session every few months from this alone and invite a few patrons along every time (based on whatever to determine criteria) and without anybody needing to pay "extra" to potentially be included.
Looking at the current growth rate however, we're still quite a bit away from such a scenario. I'm investigating a few other possibilities in the meantime as well to see if there is a way to make something like this work earlier than this page reaching 2.5k/month (if it ever will).
Making this possible without anybody getting frustrated and me not taking on an unreasonable financial risk is tricky though.
Still, I like the dream of this becoming more than just me throwing posts and score sheets at you. So we'll see how this develops and what possibility I might come up with.
In other news, I had the first orchestral recording since this stupid virus hit the planet at the beginning of August in Prague and it felt wonderful to finally be making music again.
Here's a picture of the session:

And no, this is not a "physically distanced" score, I was consciously writing for this seating and setup in the room but I will cover this in the future when talking about that score in greater detail on here.
I'm currently in the stage of mixing so it's not going to be long until you will hear something from it.
Other than that you might have noticed (or not) that Patreon is now available in more languages (which with my posts being in English anyway is kinda useless at least for this site) and now shows the final price of a pledge (including your local VAT) right at the beginning of commiting to a pledge.
Lastly, thanks again so much for supporting my Patreon even in such difficult times as these. As mentioned in the beginning of this post, I have some long term "dreams" for what this could become so thanks for joining me on the way to hopefully achieving this!
