Am I missing something? Who’s Randy?

So here's my time to shine. Nearly every MiLB and even indepedent baseball teams have had Star Wars nights for decades. A lot of them do them around "May the Fourth," which is the start of the season for long-season leagues, and they are *desperate* to have big gate days to start their year. They still go on, but as you note, they have been extremely toned down and guide-railed since Disney took over. They used to be much more free-wheeling, similar to Hyperspace Hoopla, but they are more locked down now and pushing the sequels, as they do in the parks. Also worth noting that Kinect Star Wars was one of the last products to come out right before the merger, and the game featured a dance battle finale that has not shown up in any product since, that I know of.

Dead Mall Disney sounds so much like current-day Evermore.

The Hollywood studios slander up top 😂 it was my favorite park in that era! They had tower of terror, fun improv people wondering around, the great movie ride ! Young me was thriving(outside of the insane lack of shade)
