All these different artists were figuring out their own unique characterizations of Link. Many of them delved into different ideas, too, of what the world of hyrule would be like.
I've always been partial to more grim fantasy for Hyrule - The first Zelda game I really connected with was Twilight Princess. This piece is old now, from the end of 2019, but I still want to fiddle around with a gothic horror AU, pulling from puritan religious inspirations. Links clothing here is meant to play on those aesthetics. This was also the first time I'd tried such a dramatic light source, and while i can look at it now and see all the errors in it, I'm still proud of what it was when I made it, and all that I learned from it.
