When I started thinking of launching a patreon several months ago, one of the things I got hung up on was tiers. And there's the behind the scenes, sure, of how I wasn't sure what I could offer, what I *should* offer, and what was comparable pricing as I looked to other artists, but there's just the greater issue of theming. Muppets? Furbies? What's unique and appealing that will still be fun for me to depict?
Then I remembered Toilet Deer. And at the same time, I was reading The Only Good Indians. I wanted to paint deer (and yes, the book is about elk, but deer are mentioned, and white tailed deer, like the ones I grew up surrounded by, were mentioned in specific).
If you ever order from my store on etsy and mention that you're a patron (include your patreon email in the order notes!) then you'll actually get a sticker of your tier's patron deer.
The fawn, all gangly legs, was really my favorite of this bunch to paint, but he also went the quickest unfortunately.
