Ep 16 Beta Sent! And Sneak Preview!

Ep 16 has gone out to all but 2 backers. And I realize that this discrepancy is not my fault every month. I went through every single person listed in the tier, checked and double checked, but I only find 24 people. And Patreon claims there's 26 of you! (Even though my limit for the tier is 25...so...what's that about?) If you're one of the lucky two I missed, please DM for your code.

I'm sorry I haven't posted as much between episodes. We've been super busy with getting out Oni Onsen, starting work on Druid of Hungwood, and of course, finishing a whole game each month.

Who could this be? We'll find out next month!

The good news: Monster Ops is now profitable! Thanks to Patreon, Steam, and Itch sales, we're in the black and knowing a modest success. So...thanks for sticking with us!

The bad news: Ep 13 is sneaking out live to Steam earlier than it should. We wanted Monster Ops in the October Next Fest, and that means we needed a demo live for ep 14. The demo is ep 13, the free season premiere. So...hopefully I don't get some backlash for that. I just want get more sales and somehow justify a third season. (The truth is, it looks like we're ending on 24 episodes right now, but I'm still hopeful for a shark jump).

What happens if season 2 is the end for Monster Ops?

Well, we worked hard to build this Patreon and have come to rely on the support you all graciously keep giving. There's no way we're shutting it down.

We will put out monthly installments of Dragon Riders here. You guys will get the early chapters here. This isn't like Monster Ops with self-contained episodes. Choices will affect the entire 6 chapter games, so each individual chapter will come with summaries and choices to make in the beginning (so it can work). You'll see. And in the end you'll the story threads through the whole game that people seem to prefer.

There are 6 chapters to each Dragon Riders game, so we'll launch the finished games twice a year, and give subscribers keys for those when they go live too (once your account hits 6 months). Since Dragon Riders is a Visual Novel/Card Battler, you'll also get special cards just for supporting us!

But that's at least 8 months away. Let's enjoy the rest of Monster Ops for now!
