Micah's panic infects Paldra, spilling her concoctions about, and the half awake Bethel now screams in horror, eyes wide and fixated on what will surely be her death.
You feel it spread through your nerves as well, your body wanting to flee, push back into the wall until you disappear into the very rock. But then the word comes to you, as if whispered by some unseen presence. You speak it and as soon as it passes your lips, light washes over you, spreading through the room in a wave of glowing energy, emanating from the sun on your helm.
In an instant, Micah stands, sword at the ready; Paldra uncorks a vial of bubbling acid, taking aim at the beast's maw; and a prayer of healing and holy aid streams forth from Bethel's breath. Maybe the battle is not lost. No, we must prevail!
