Is Edgar Berlanga Just A FLASH IN THE PAN?

Is Edgar Berlanga Just A FLASH IN THE PAN?

Myian Barnes Trust me no one is ducking Devin Haney, that guy is an easy matchup for Loma , even with Haney having the help of that PED merchant Victor Conte. Golovkin should fight Andrade tho.

@myian Tyson fury fights high level black fighters

John Davis

Makes some sense being he’s peurto divan he may have some connections to the latin kings

John Davis

The No Black Fighters trend is not limited to Canelo. When I say that, I don’t mean mid to low tier guys like Jacobs or Kirkland. This is going on up and down the weight classes but people don’t want to state the obvious. Valdez gave up his belt to avoid Stevenson. Lomachenko gave up his belt to avoid Haney. Golovkin refused two WBC mandates to fight Charlo, then Canelo gave up his belt to fight avoid that fight. Ryan Garcia is Haney’s mandatory but doesn’t want the fight. Teofimo doesn’t want the fight either, he is fighting Kambossos for his minimum pay(1.25 mil). I’m not mentioning Gary Russell Jr. because he doesn’t fight enough anyway but the trend is obvious. If you compare this to the pound for pound rankings and belt landscape(the emergence of Franchise titles, regular titles, etc.) you can see that the promotions, and sanctioning bodies are all in on it. It’s not just Canelo, Canelo is just riding the wave.

Canelo said he doesn’t like Andrade boxing style aka too high of a risk with no reward, shoot I’ll be honest bro Canelo doesn’t seem to want to fight any top black fighters he ducked Charlo not the other way around, Jermall Charlo was Canelo’s mandatory and he vacated the belt which is how got the WBC belt at 160 the weigh class he fights in currently. Canelo’s last 3 fights have been against people we knew he’d beat already 🤦🏾‍♂️

Son got that Terror Squad pendent, he rolling deep

That boxer he knocked at 7:42, his name is eric moon.. i used too train with him.. he knocked me down in sparring with a body shot.

Rodney

Good catch! I had just watched a David Benavidez interview where he said they sent an offer to Berlanga, and I guess that befuddled me for a moment. He was clearly on that Loma vs Lopez card. The 168 landscape at Top Rank has no title holders if I am not mistaken and Canelo is consolidating them quickly. Bob may push him to move up to LHW

Berlanga is with TOP RANK. Thanks for viewing the video.

Watch this guy. I can not lie,, I have not been impressed with his performances thus far, but what is interesting is the COMPANY he has been keeping. This man has been in the "in crowd" for years already. One of his best friend's is actually Tracey Morgan, how does that happen with an up and coming young boxer? The proverbial red carpet appears to be being leveled at his feet. His profile will continue to elevate, as he knocks out can after can. He is a PBC fighter, and with Danny Garcia on the downslide, Berlanga is poised to become the number 1 Puerto Rican draw on Fox/Showtime not to mention boxing in general. Haymon is smart. I would put money on Berlanga being positioned to take that strap off of Caleb Plant in a year or two.

We have to thank Nassim Richardson, for making Tito re-wrap those hands that night at the garden against Hopkins. He exposed Tito's team. Still one of my favorite moments in boxing, when Hopkins got it done. I remember that fight against Joppy as well. It was the middleweight tournament, where Hopkins went against Holmes and Tito went against Joppy. We called him "sloppy Joppy" after that fight, Joppy embarrassed the division. I remember when Tito "got the decision against Oscar, Bushwick looked like Puerto Rico the next day. It was damn near a parade for Tito.

Great fight as well, but ANY of the 4 Rafa Marquez vs Israel Vazquez fights superseded anything MAB and el Terrible did in the ring

Yup part of why that fight was so exciting was that Barrera and morales hated each other at that time

John Davis

Cause he’s a liberal sjw pretty much everything they do has to revolve around politics

John Davis

Why max got to find a way to stick his politics into it? 🤦‍♂️

Trinidad vs Vargas was a great fight but for me the best action fight of the early 2000s was the first Barrera vs Morales. Ferocious action the way through a late knockdown for Barrera and a controversial scorecard all added to high drama between two great fighters who genuinely didn’t like each other. They were throwing blows at t he press conference.

I’m surprised in discussing the overall landscape at 168 that the moderator only mentioned Benavidez in passing, and failed to mention IBF Champ Caleb Plant, at all But discussed guys that haven’t even fought at the super middleweight division as of yet.

I read somewhere that David benevidez knocked him out in sparring. It would be a good match and answer a lot of questions.
