Are The New Orleans Pelicans READY TO DECLARE WAR On Zion Williamson?

Are The New Orleans Pelicans READY TO DECLARE WAR On Zion Williamson?

Thanks asking a lot from dude who doesnt seem like he’s that ambitious. It is cool though how certain dudes have that type of pull to move and shake things in the front office. Not sure if zion is even aware of that type of shit

Yea not too smart of the fans out there. If Zion was one of my boys, hypothetically, unless he had some goal he wanted to accomplish specifically in NO i’d probably be telling him he should get up outta there lol

As we can see, the Pelicans have a squad.

Glad to hear someone finally say “who the fuck is CJ and why doesn’t he lead the way as a veteran”. CJ has always been a media gobbler runnin his mouth daily about other players

trips winter

New Orleans is a saints town and will always be. You get killed talking about a star saints player in this fashion but basketball no one cares if he leaves seriously. I spent over half my life in that area and coming from Michigan I couldn't understand how crazy people get about a football team. Example one of my coworkers son's played for the falcons and they attacked the woman because she was cheering for her son. Them niggas just crazy

Antonio Richardson

Poor take on the situation. You don't gain the amount of weight that Zion has, and remove yourself from an organization like he has, and get the benefit of the doubt. Everyone knows he's gone. Two feet out of the door. He's a fat NBA player who hasn't played for the better part of two years, and you can't find him anywhere. You don't have to protect a situation that has been decided for a long time now. If he wanted to play, we would have seen his desire to play, in other areas. He wants out and we all know it.

@Ranger of the North Everything you said I 100% agree with. If/when Zion gets to the Knicks he'll probably demand that Thibs shouldn't be the coach. I think most NBA players know who Thibs is when it comes to running players into the the ground and they know that Thibs is not a good long term coach. Apparently according to reports is Dolan very frustrated that the agent from CAA he hired as the GM of the team hasn't brought in a big time player. The player that Leon Rose the former agent and current GM has his eyes on is (allegedly) Zion and it's obvious to anyone who pays attention. That's one of the reasons why they traded for Cam Reddish who he played with in college. Zion is also represented by CAA. We'll see if Zion could handle the bright lights and pressure of NYC. I think he could, he's always played better when all eyes are on him.

I understand Zion wanting be in New York. Because if it wasn't for LeGloria and his Klutch Sports lapdogs, that's where he'd be. But Carolina Chunky needs to consider some shit before he try to bite up on that Big Ol Apple: 1) I don't think James Dolan would be able to restrain himself to being hands off any longer if Zion gets the Knicks. There would be so much hoopla created, he won't be able to help himself . He'll attempt to be a Caucasian Diddy to Zion's Biggie. Wanting to hang out with him all the time, distracting him from the team. So Zion should strive to keep Dolan at a distance. 2) I wouldn't trust Tom Thibs coaching help him at all. He'll definitely run Zion into the ground. He's not a championship caliber either, so why keep him around long term. Zion should suggest to the KNicks front office to get Nick Nurse in there or get Brad Stevens back to coaching from the Celtics. Anything but dumbass Thibideaux. 3) He must ensure he's Mentally and physically ready for all that NYC entails. Media, fans. He's gotta win a championship up there if he goes. Look how Chronicles did him in the thumbnail. What do you did think uncivilized New York niggas gone do him if he underperforms or underwhelms? It'll be sevenfold worse.

Keep in mind there’s also been talks of Zion’s family saying they don’t like NO for him either

Chocolatemilk

cj is the president of the players association; is deserving at least a phone call

@Nikke Tmzee 😂😂😂 facts

Lesson'd Burn

I honestly haven’t even seen Zion overweight. I saw a pic of him w a fan around Christmas and he looked the same as he always has.

Lesson'd Burn

@sweet lou Zx I’m sayin these dudes in here talkin like cj is just some bench dude or an average starter dudes been around a 20 ppg scorer for the last 5 seasons

John Davis

Hopefully his career turns out like curry, too many early injuries, everyone forgets about him, then he gets healthy all of a sudden and hits the league by storm

If that’s the main reason he’d leave then I wouldn’t see him lasting much in New York either lmao

I hope they keep making fat jokes so he can bounce and go to New York

Lewis yarde

I agree, CJ is definitely a prominent sg

I think he's still got time, the kid's only 21-22 years old. Plenty of time to figure things out and make an impact in the league. All the media writing him off saying he's a bust I think it's too early to say that.

MJ

Fair points I’m not sure bout that too 5 sg especially in the west other than booker and mayb edwards in Minnesota what sg’s are you taking before cj?

John Davis

I just don’t see it with Zion. Phenomenal talent but can’t stay healthy. These injuries have been going back to when he was at Duke.

I don't know how much respect you want me to put. Most are not gonna put him as a top 5 SG. Portland had a one deep playoff run but I do remember a couple of stinkers in the CF. I don't wanna bash the dude. I just don't see him being a major piece on a championship team. Zion could be a transcendent talent. Dude has just been injured. When he's been on the court he's been productive. Still just 21. He put up 27 last year and Zion doesn't even know the game fully yet. He still has much to learn. If anyone says Ja is better thats cool but i'll make that assessment in a few more years.

Yeah cj hasn’t but their are a few different reasons for that that shooting guard position has been stacked for a while since cj came into prominence I wanna say back in 2015 or 2016 you have devin booker, James harden, Paul George (depending on whether you classify him as a guard or more of a wing) Donovan Mitchell, jimmy butler for the short time he was in the western conference and their are probably a few others I’m forgetting about but you have a bunch of guys essentially fighting for 2 or 3 spots so their are gonna b times where an all star caliber player doesn’t make it he also has had to play his whole career with Damian lillard a player I enjoy watching but also a pg who tends to shot jack which has hurt Cj’s numbers I promise you if cj got to go and be in a situation like Bradley Beal has been in for the past few seasons where their really is no system and you can pretty much take watchever shot you want we would look at cj in the same regard as Bradley Beal

John Davis

Let’s put some respect on cj tho a lot of people forget but in that playoff run when they eliminated westbrick and Paul George in that second round cj lowkey carried them as dame as he usually does in many big games and big moments woefully underperformed an we all know how dame no showed against golden state in the conference championship so let’s not start talkin bout cj like he’s just some guy as for zion I gotta see way more from him to justify all the praise being heaped on him cause as good as he is a strong case can be made that the guy drafted right before him has been a better player than him and has had a better career so far

John Davis

It's not like CJ teamed up with Dame and they were contenders. He don't give a damn about CJ. Zion will be gone from New Orleans first chance he gets.

CJ has not made an All-Star team yet.
