Haven 1.9 - The events update.

Hello everyone!
Small Haven update!

Warning: There public version of the game is older. This means that using saves from the Patreon version in the public one might result in the game breaking or not working.

Some people have had issues with the game crashing during combat on certain devices.
From what I gathered, this is because of the attack animations and the background animations.
If this happens to you, the Options menu now has two options: Disable Combat Animations and Disable Background Animations.

I am starting to notice that this game will require some sort of guide, because some unlocks can be a bit... obtuse.
I like the idea of adding stuff that gets discovered as you go along since I want this to be an exploration game.


I think the quest system does help to find the most important things, but I am considering if I should add an in-game guide in the form of some nerd character that will list and keep track of things... the problem with that is that there are things I am currently not tracking, so the tracking might be a bit off in older saves.
We shall see, if things get overly complicated I'll just make an external guide instead.

As usual, suggestions are always welcome.
They help me decide what to prioritize, and sometimes just make a new skin for fun.
(I know everyone wants me to make jockstraps and leather harnesses as equipment, but I feel the moment I do that, everyone will stop using other equipment, so I keep pushing them back for a later version). 😜

As I mentioned in the previous post, this update is quite small, since I have been using my time getting things ready for the small adventure game I will work on with Akumakiro ( Bluesky - Twitter ).

I will try to post at least some weekly updates on that game... I promise I will try.
It is so hard to balance showing off stuff and have things be a surprise.
Which is why most of my games end up with me not showing things until they are done -_-

To start the path to get Melvin, you need to have unlocked several things: Frank, the Laboratory and Bert. You need to talk to Gort, and then with Wilfan. After than visit Lazz while having at least 50 of libido. This should be enough to find Melvin. After than you need to show him that you have splicing technology, so you need to talk to him while looking like an Orc.

Sorry, haven't gotten around to it yet. The problem of adding so many characters, I have a huge backlog of ones you can't do stuff with yet >_>
