You may remember reading about our adventures in fabric scanning in our dev logs starting nearly two years ago.
Ultimately we learned a lot from our experiments and ended up working with Colormass, a dedicated fabric scanning company in Germany, to create a set of 30 fabric materials for Poly Haven:
The results of their work exceed what we could have done by ourselves for a similar budget (check the dev logs (1/2/3) for more info), and by offloading the task to them we were also able to continue on our other projects in parallel, like Namaqualand and the Lunar collection.
The Fabric Vault is currently available in early-access to all $3+ Patreon supporters, and is the next in line to release publicly once we reach 2500 active Patreon supporters.
To access the textures, simply log into polyhaven.com with your Patreon account, and you'll be able to download them. They are also already available through our Blender add-on.
