Spring in Space! April Story Brainstorming!

They set out to create a new home for mankind, but maybe something goes wrong on the colony ship, or maybe they encounter dangerous aliens. If you want to be optimistic, maybe the aliens are just really friendly.
What should happen to our intrepid colonists? Will this brave effort save humanity or doom us? You tell me!!
