the boy is home!

I had hopes of having a substantial update on the monster chef design - and much of it IS sketched out, awaiting inks and colours - but after being delayed by international banking shenanigans (dear IRS tax forms: please be easier to comprehend for foreigners), I got the news that our newest baby was ready to be picked up!

Castor arrived on Thursday, and has spent the last couple of days acquainting himself with the living room, and with my older cat (at a distance: Moses is very skeptical of his new ball of fluff still). Castor has been settling in well, chasing his toys around, chirping like he's got a lot of stuff to say, and napping absolutely everywhere. He keeps putting both of his absurdly big front paws on my face and falling asleep, which I'm taking as a positive sign.

He is 90% limbs and ears, and at just 14 weeks old, he's already the size of an average 6 month old kitten.

I will keep you updated as he grows and gets up to shenanigans.

I will also get you a more substantial update on the monster chef thing next week, once we've settled into more of a routine with our new boy - til then, have the fragment as a treat and hint at what's to come.

I'm doing a turnaround in full colour, some black and white costume exploration/variants, some equipment, a few examples of monster-food, some coloured sketches of the chef doing actual cooking, and maybe an illustration. Some of that stuff is already finished, some is sketched out and waiting for clean-up, and some i might finish later today.
