Cat-related problems

Hey all. I very much hoped to get some good work done this week, but the universe conspired against me. On Sunday evening, we noticed that Moses had an odd swelling on the side of his face, and he had surgery done on Monday morning to take care of it.

He's spent the week with stitches and a drainage-tube sticking out of his face, which he had taken out on Thursday, and we're now waiting on the wound to heal properly. Since he's not allowed to scratch at the scab, he's trapped in the tyranny of the plastic cone - which he does not appreciate at all. Though he is being a brave little boy about it and not complaining too much. He's healing up fairly well, though he did manage to tear the scab off and bleed a bit today - not understanding that means even more time with the cone on for him. Things are looking pretty positive, but it will be a bit more time before he's back to normal.

However, looking after him means I have not slept much at all this week, and the few hours I've been able to spend on work I've had to devote to a freelance project. As a result, I don't have much to post this week. I am hoping things will be back on track next week, but we'll see how things go.
