This is a new poll I am hosting to draw some sexy Pokemon.
If you aren't as familiar with Pokemon, there are 800+ of them and each one has 1-2 type attributes, an ability, 6 stats (affected by Individual Values & Effort Values), 4 moves, and their own distinct appearance. Here's a quick crash course:
- Typing determines what moves they can take or what moves hurt them the most. This also determines which moves have STAB (25% power boost based on if the Pokemon's type matches the attack it's using). Types include grass, fire, water, electric, etc.
- Abilities are skills that can activate at the beginning of battle, upon contact, upon fainting, etc. They can affect stats, inflict status ailments etc.
- The six stats are HP, Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense and Speed. These are affected by the Pokemon's level, the individual values (IVs or inherent stats they are BORN WITH) and effort values (stats boosted based on fighting other Pokemon to put simply)
- Pokemon can learn up to 4 moves in battle, whether they affect their own or opponent's stats, whether they inflict status conditions (paralysis, burn, sleep, etc.), whether they inflict damage, etc. I will incorporate a move or ability into the pic.
- Appearance is as stated. Pokemon come in all shapes and sizes and all can be fun in anthro form.
Super Training was a method introduced to boost EV's mentioned above and that is what this whole monthly drawing is based on but I'll break it down into English in the choices below.
