Added 2022-05-10 15:12:01 +0000 UTCA question we got from several people after the last post about our velvet toilet seat was โhow will you clean it? ๐คข๐คข๐คขโ (I added the emojiโs but I imagine they were there in spirit). As we mentioned, we had plans to do some โwaterproofingโ tests on the small scale pieces but ALSO Evanโs parents came over and his mom suggested testing how they hold up to cleaning products, not just liquid in general.
So we sprayed some cleaner with bleach on it andโฆ well it removed some of the flocking and left marks on the test pieces. But it didnโt TOTALLY ruin it! -Katelyn

Wouldn't Scotch Guard for upholstery work? Shouldn't need too harsh of cleaners to clean it then, just soap and water, I would think.
