Well... finally. I was able to get some more groups to believe in what I'm doing. I am very honored to work with the following new groups:
XOXO (Kiss & Hug) Extreme: This is a four idol unit that specializes in wacky, crazy, completely creative progressive idol songs, devised by their amazing producer who is a self-professed lover of jazz and prog rock. I actually ran into this group a little unexpectedly. I mean, Necroma has played with them numerous times but I never had a chance to talk to their producer until recently. Turns out, me and him are pretty much alike in what we enjoy musically, and he's also one of the more nicer producers in the Idol Industry. His dream and the dreams of the four girls in the group is to go overseas and play. I figured we'll start with showing them how the international fans do it! So please, support this group. They have a long and storied history in the idol world already and are just an amazing bunch of individuals who are also well respected in the idol world too.
Lilii Kaona: What can I say? This is one of the greatest underground idol groups in existence right now. And I bet you didn't even know who they are? Well, meet Koyuki and Yuka, two idols who are really working very hard to create ambient, orchestral, really emotional music with both their incredible voices and their skilled dancing (Koyuki, in fact, is a dance sensei, and Yuka was her student!). Their producer is a good friend of mine and we have always talked about working together and now... here we are. I am so happy to support this group and this is another group who wants to tour internationally. You better believe I'll be bringing them overseas first chance I get, as this is one of my all time favorite groups. They are good friends with many of the super underground groups out there too, and often play with groups like Avandoned, Melon Batake, and XOXO Extreme. Just.... seriously, one of the best kept secrets in the idol world. Lets change that.
Rino Oishi: Talk about a best kept secret! This is a solo idol who is a guitar player and musician and also plays with TasoTokyo, which is like an idol punk music group. I met Rino a long time ago at a Necroma show. She was standing next to me doing her own buppan while I ran Necroma's buppan and we started talking and, turns out, she's pretty funny and super easygoing. She has a great voice and I mean... amaaazing voice. Just very very idol-like. And best of all, she is the very first person to say yes to Idol Underworld after Necroma. So, I feel like I want to show her that there is an interest in her music from the outside world. Please please support her. She's really special, and if you are in Japan, catch her at a live show and you will be convinced you've been missing out on an amazing idol who really works hard and is doing it all by herself.

I have not stopped with these groups. I have been working hard to recruit more groups, and I am proud to announce that in the next week, I will be adding NANOMORAL and the legendary HANAKO SAN to Idol Underworld! I will be taking chekis of Nanomoral this week and meeting with Hanako San to receive her buppan goods (chekis will be forthcoming from her). AND, I am working with ANOTHER amazing, legendary group in the Idol World, starting in October! And yes, there is a reason for that, and you'll understand as soon as October rolls around.
And I'm not stopping. I plan to reach my goal of at least 20 groups by December, and hopefully my reach goal of 30 by January 1st. By this time next year, I want 200 groups. So... this is a good start, BUT, this only works if you support Idol Underworld and purchase the goods by these artists! They will go back and tell everybody they know to work with me and the buzz will start to happen and then hopefully groups will be coming to me instead of me going to them. That's the idea, anyway. But I need to build a big enough roster here in order to attract the larger groups as well, so please do your best to SELL out all these new products as fast as you can. I will do you a favor if you can help me out here... I'll ship these AS FAST AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE. I don't have to wait on anyone or anything... I have all the products in stock and ready to go, so please, buy everything you can and support these groups! They deserve it. I'll be adding many more, I promise, but you'll make my job easier in this regard if you can sell these products out and then I go back and tell these groups and then they tell their friends. That's the plan guys!
Thank you again. I really appreciate everything you are all doing for Idol Underworld. Also, another quick update: I am happy to announce that Himari's photobook will be finished with shooting this WEEK! And then it's off to the book printers and then I will hopefully be able to roll this out by mid-September, at the latest. Also, no word yet on the acrylic sets from Necroma or their MTO T-Shirts, but as soon as I get them in, I'll post an update. If you've ordered either of these things, or if you have ordered anything connected to Himari's photobook (including cheki sets from the shoot), your orders will be fulfilled as soon as the merchandise comes in to the office.
