Aphrodite crazy weekend of lives, Zombie Powder breaks out of their masks, and the birth of Kosame chan

This is a huge post where I talk about the onslaught of Aphrodite lives the past three days, a tear-jerking performance by Zombie Powder at Akiba Colors, working with Kosame chan for the very first time on her music, taking her very first cheki, and also planning out the future we have working together, and much, much more!

Please give this a listen, and this is the post where I want your questions for the monthly AMA in the COMMENTS section. So leave them if you got them. If you don't, that's cool too! I hope to hear from all of you on this post... it was fun to talk about these things and I hope you'll enjoy them too. Especially my report on Zombie Powder... their performance was JAW-DROPPING this weekend! And tear-dropping too. Just... wow.

Hi Derek! I always enjoy listening to your daily adventures in Japan and idol culture. I suppose not understanding sarcasm and some jokes are a thing I have in common with Japanese people. I'm just really dense about it lol. I really look forward to Kosame and Miho's debuts! I fell in love with them the moment you introduced them. I had nightmares about missing out on Kosame's cheki's lmaooooo. I am already so passionate about them. Glad I was able to secure two cheki's though! I agree with Sven. I'd love to hear their music digitally as well as physically. Have a good day Derek, take good care of yourself! Love, Romy

Hey Derek, in terms of humor i discovered, slapstik works very well. Abou two weeks ago Chihiro was cooking pasta, postet it on witter and i recooked it on twitter, showing her the process. In the middle i added a picture of spaghetti burning like a torch. This seemed to work very well. Miho loves this type of humor too. Sarcasm doesn´t work at all. Or kidding, A little disappointing, because it´s a fountain of fun… if people understand it... But being confronted with another culture is a neverending process of learning. And i´m just reached the state understanding about 100 words, basic grammar and hiragana. Things like dealing with humor show me, there´s so much more than just grammar and vocabularies. Speaking of Hanako, i had the honor to see the stream she did in October because covid restrictions only allowed 10 people where she performed. So the only option, that´s fair for everyone buying a ticket was to stream it. For me who wanted to see her perform for over two years this was basically christmas. Birthday and a middle lottery jackpot at the same day. I litte part in me hopes she does something similar with the footage you shot if it hits her expectations. Maybe a DVD on Idol Underworld coming soon. Fingers crossed. Kosames introduction was so cool. It was really obvious she was nervous. It was very cool to see her and even the costume Honami made was already there. Looks so awesome and totally nails what you have in mind with her persona. From what i´ve seen on Kosames instagram and sunday i think she has the power instantly getting immense ammount of metal fans and a huge personal fanbase. Like Miho i instantly found a connection. I´m already a fan of Kosame and Miho and they didn´t release a single CD, yet. :-P The documentary will be done soon, but i think Masa is not the one getting more payment than was made up before. No bonus for putting the project in jeopardy. If you really get into the situation an idol which is a huge part really graduates the next month or so (let´s just hope not) it just makes the premise more solid that it actually can be a short living business, in the lifespan of a group. But as for Koasmes and Mihos Songs i can´t wait for it to appear. Let´s hope they are out soon. I have a question in mind regarding going on world tour. How do you manage to carry merch all over the world and not to forget… how do you carry all those undeveloped cheki boxes with you? You must shoot thousands during the europe tour. And another one: What are your plans distributing Mihos and Kosames Music? Do you plan digital releases like Necroma does too? Bandcamp, Amazon, The common japanese distributors etc. While waiting fo a physical realease to be shipped i´d love to already have a digital one. I think i´m not alone with that. Have a great week Sven
