I want to show you footage from a recent shoot with a wet plate master. This is a very old type of photography that was before film. I won't be able to tell you all the details, because I don't understand the process itself enough... but I can just say that it's magic) It's quite painstaking and time-consuming shoot, but it's magic. We spent 2 hours on these 3 photos.
Marti is incredibly passionate about what he does and it is very inspiring. I want to take pictures with him again) It seems to me that he reveals something in people in his pictures. They look more vulnerable and real.
I handed in my film for development and already received the scans....it turned out that I shot half of what I took on expired film - it is less sensitive to light and all my photos are very dark. But I'm not too upset - because it's an experience) Next time I'll be more careful and what more importantly, I'll buy film and shoot on it right away, instead of saving it for later. This "later" usually comes after a couple of years 😆
It even seems to me that these unsuccessful scans inspired me to take new shoots, with fresh film. While I'm here in Kyiv and I have unlimited access to cool studios and incredibly interesting models and muses - I have to take advantage of it) And finally, shoot all the films I have in the fridge.
At the same time I want to complete my visits to the doctors and with a calm heart and soul to go on the next trip) And this will probably be my longest trip in all this time.
