Time To Vote! Which Game Will Mike Cover Next?

I feel the same about Legend of Dragoon. It was the battle system that turned me off as well. The battles involved a mechanic called additions which were additional attacks that you could perform by pressing a series of buttons in time with an on screen cue. If that sounds like what is known as a Quick Time Event, it's because it is a QTE. Playing through Legend of Dragoon would include thousands of QTEs through it's course and I speak only for myself here, but when I play a turn-based RPG I don't want to be on the edge of my seat furiously mashing buttons to an on screen cue over and over and over again.

I can't remember exactly why I disliked the game and yes I played it. It's totally fine if you like it, it's just my opinion not an eternal truth. I always had the feeling it tries so hard to be final fantasy and just couldn't reach that quality... I can't remember why but I was not a big fan of the Battlesystem.

Why do you think that? Have you even played it? It all depends on what you consider to be mediocre or not. I've seen a 1 hour and 3 hour review of the game. Its much like Final Fantasy VII in that while it has a number of flaws it also has a lot of brilliance in it. The addition system for example works like a rhythm game making combat more active for a turn based game. Personally, I love the game.

why is everyone so crazy about legend of dragoon XD... i always thought it's pretty mediocre

I voted for FF retrospective because I love those and have been playing through the whole series due to quarantine, but Breath of Fire series has always held a special place in my heart so I had to give it a vote too.

It may have been a long one, but the more comprehensive you get the more I enjoy watching your videos. They have only gotten better in time. The effort is most definitely appreciated. Seriously. I loved Dragoon, but Ive been SO immensely amped to hear your thoughts on the remaining FF titles, ever since you dropped the FFX video :) maybe throw Legend of Dragoon in the middle of the two MMOs just so you dont go crazy?? either way, I love your work!
