Which Game Should We Cover Next On The Podcast?

Casen and I have come to the end of our playthrough of Xenogears! That means it's time to vote for the next game. While I'm sure many of you are eager to have us tackle another expansive JRPG, the truth is that after having covered Xenogears, Casen and I are feeling a bit burned out and need a short break from that style of game. For this reason, we want to cover something shorter and outside of the genre. I beg for your understanding. I need this to stay sane, haha.
Also, we're going to be experimenting a little bit with our current format to see if we can't make the show a little more efficient and interesting to watch moving forward. Both Casen and I feel that 20 episodes on one game is too much for the majority of our YouTube audience, so we're thinking about ways of cutting that down to 10 or 12 at the longest moving forward (without losing the in-depth discussion of course). I have some good ideas there, so we look forward to showing those off in our next series!

I love you Xenogears talk so far, I've been enjoying playing through this game so much, it's been years and your insight has given me a whole new appreciation for it. I understand why you don't want to do another JRPG after this game. I don't have a PS5 so I voted for Mass Effect even though I played it back on the PS3 I think I will get better enjoyment out of it with your discussions. Keep up the great work guys.

I love LOVE JRPGs, but wouldn't mind at all if in-between a big huge JRPG series of podcasts, you guys went ahead and did something that could be seem as a bit more bite-sized when looked at on a relative scale.

Also, I just finished the first Deux Ex game, and I think that would also be a fun, short game to cover on the podcast sometime. The overall story is pretty ridiculous, but like I said it would probably be pretty fun because of that.

2021-11-02 20:56:16 +0000 UTCIn order to do a proper deep-dive analysis, I think it's important that at least one of us (it could be either myself or Casen) has played the game before. Otherwise, it's just a "first impressions" podcast and not much of an analysis.

I agree don't do something as dense as Xenogears next but out of this selection I'm not too keen on any of them but I'd rather you guys do what makes you happy

That being said I wanted to mention that I've been thoroughly enjoying the Xenogears discussion and look forward to the next deep dive. All three of these choices are stellar! Kudos RA Team! <3
2021-11-02 17:09:56 +0000 UTCI haven't played any of these games so it's going to be interesting to listen to you guyrs talk about the one that wins the poll. Voted ME because I love sci-fi. Speaking of sci-fi, I'm currently playing 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim and I'm very imperssed by it. I would love to see you two discuss this games although it's hard to talk about since the story is non-linear and switches back and forth between a whoppping cast of 13 main characters. Also, I like the idea of covering a short game between long games, and I think one of the Metal Gear Solid games would be a great fit for the podcast.
