Next Game To Cover On The Podcast!

Hi, everyone! It's that time again. For the next podcast series, we want to focus on a shorter, non-jrpg. Hopefully you guys can get excited about the options below! Remember, you can vote for more than one!

Little surprised MGS is on top, I would've thought SH2 would auto-win. Still, I'm game for either one.

Spec Ops: The Line is hands down one of my favorite games ever, and I generally detest shooters. The psychological themes alone make the game worth looking into. And I feel that the meta context for the plot is very similar to Nier:Replicant, and possibly handled a bit better. Either way all the games on this list are great so I'm excited regardless of what's chosen.

I'd love for you all to do Silent Hill 2, been meaning to play this one for years and to play along with you all would make it such a better experience I think.

Maaaaaan. The day you guys do a Silent Hill game. Can't wait!

HD Collection has MGS2: Sons of Liberty, MGS3: Snake Eater and an HD remaster of the Peacewalker PSP game. The only way to play MGS on PlayStation hardware is either the original CD release on a PS1 or backward compatibility on a PS2/PS3, or the PlayStation classic (technically official PlayStation hardware although they use the PAL ROM which has some slight changes from the US version in terms of framerate and dialogue etc). I don’t recommend looking for the PS3 Legacy Collection either because MGS 1 was only included as a download code voucher which may not even work anymore, may have been used already, or if it’s new and sealed the game may be expensive. I played it a few weeks back on my PS Classic since I didn’t feel like setting up the PS2 and CRT which haven’t been used since Xenogears.

Coincidentally, I recently convinced my friend to complete MGS a few weeks ago, and I picked it up and finished it again after something like 20 years since the last time I beat it. Weird to experience it again; still enjoy it just as much, but sucks to not be as completely blown away as I was then. The second disc is still a bit of a letdown pretty much though lol.

First time getting to vote too! Im going with Horizon but I won’t be sad at all for MGS to win! :D

Michael Acosta

this is my first time getting to vote and so stoked for either MGS or SH2 :D

I like MGS1 so I hope it wins but I hope one day you’ll do one for MGS2 since it’s one of my favorite games of all time.

MSG was, revolutionary at its time...but I don't know man...even just a year after its release, it REALLY lost its shine for me, it's borderline embarrassing. Could be interesting to revisit though...despite my minority opinion here, or maybe because of it, I think it would likely be the best bet of the bunch and make for great content. (I didn't vote for it, but I'd be happy to hear Resonant Arc's take)

Douglas

Yes, we will do this in the first episode most likely.

Resonant Arc

Will you be providing a summary/talking about what happened in the Metal Gear games as well since they came before MGS while being related to it

Neil

I'm really shocked that Silent Hill 2 didn't absolutely sweep this but i have to say, i'm excited to finally get to playing MGS. I've still to this day never played one because i bought the HD collection on PS3 and it was stolen from me before i could ever get to it. I still have the art book and slip case for it too... they only took the disc and case.

Blake Walden

If MGS wins, see if you Can get any of the cast to join, I have seen both David Hayter (Snake) and Christopher Randolph (Otacon) etc. on various YT Channels. They seem to be keen to talk to fans and the like about their experience working on MGS.Would be cool to have em on for the production segment.
