Haha, well thankfully we've recieved a ton of reminders that Emilia is scarily similar to the witch, and now I know why! This show is messing with my brain, and understandably, a lot of other people too.

I just wanted to clarify why the Witch of Envy appeared: Remember that each time Subaru wanted to say that he Returns by Death, the Witch would always punish him (grab his heart, Kill Emilia, etc). This time, however, since Subaru was in Echidna's dream world, he was outside of her range. Her appearing in the real word within the Sanctuary was basically punishment for telling Echidna about his Return by Death. Moreover, remember when Echidna told Subaru most people vomited when they saw her? Well, that wasn't a joke. Just being in a Witch's presence can kill a person. All the Witches produce miasma, and when a normal person is exposed to this miasma for prolonged periods of time, they die. Subaru has Return by Death and the Sloth Witch Factor, which makes him immune to the miasma produced by Witches. Last thingy, Subaru was shaking because he was scared of the Witch, and Emilia's appearance reminded him of her. Also, you're the first reactor to realize that it was the Witch and not Emilia. I've seen WAY too many people confuse them. I guess people forgot that they look extremely similar to each other and that her similarity to the Witch was what made Emilia face severe discrimination. Next couple of episodes are probably my favorite of Season 2. Keep it up!
