So, I *hope* everyone is understanding that Distant Lands and Fionna and Cake are extenstions to Adventure time... they are part of the story. Y'all sometimes watch auxillary footage... recently it was Office bloopers, or the FMBA blooper reals. I would lose my SHIT if you all watched, as a fun thing, The season 10 comicon after you finish distant lands and fionna and cake, in that same vein. Its just song after song and emotional moment after emotional moment. banger after banger. Consider watching it, I think ya'll would enjoy.

Im sure there were gender-bent fanarts back then... but the Fionna and Cake concept was actually an idea from one of the writters and storyboarders of the show, her name is Natasha Allegri and she would later go on to create her own animated show called Bee and Puppycat. Also.... Neil Patrick Harris is the voice of Prince Gumball. Yeah... "What Was Missing" really is the point where the show starts to get some really good songs, 90% of them being from Marceline, and all of them being composed by Rebecca Sugar (and yes, she composed the songs of this episode... as well as co-write the episode itself alongside Adam Muto).

In HBO Max there's a small mishap of episodes for the next season (Season 4). What's listed as episode 11 (Daddy's Little Monster) is actually episode 10, it should be watched right after episode 9 (Return to the Nightosphere). And of course that means that... the episode listed as episode 10 (Beyond this Earthly Realm) is actually episode 11.
